The Lesser Zone Region Guide

Find the Source of the Radiation

Once you're at the outskirts of the Sphere installation, head over to its north side. There should be a broken wall where you can enter from in order to reach the first objective, quickly. Be prepared for a fight though since Monolith soldiers will jump you as soon as you enter the compound.

Enter the Building Adjacent to the Sphere

In-Game View -

Once inside the compound, enter the building adjacent to the Sphere. This building will take you to the upper levels of the main building to find the source of the radiation.

Fight Your Way Through the Building

Kill the Soldiers Inside the Sphere

Once inside, follow your waypoint to navigate the building. Fight your way through the Monolith soldiers until you reach the upper floors of the Sphere's main building. During this segment, the waypoint will move as you progress through the building, making it easy to keep track of your next objective.

Help Solder to Disable the Psi-Emitter Early (Optional)

If you did not kill Solder during the mission Behind Seven Seals, you'll find him on the way to the Sphere. Help Solder defeat the Monolith soldiers attacking him to secure his help.

1 As an optional objective, you can help Solder fight off the Monolith soldiers attacking him to gain access to the Generator Room. This room allows you to disable the psi-radiation field in the final room, preventing you from taking psi-damage as you fight your way to the emitter.Turning off the generator and disabling the psi-radiation is a good tactic for those playing on Veteran difficulty, as the constant slow debuff, psi-damage, and Monolith illusions can make quick work of you.
2 To reach the generator room, leave the room where Solder is at and turn left. Proceed ahead past the barracks and hang a left to find the generator room. Once inside, flip the switch to turn the generator off.

Should You Shoot Solder or Knock Him Out?

Fight Your Way Up and Take the Emitter

Take the Emitter at the Sphere

At the end of the level is the actual Sphere room. Inside, you'll find a lot of Monolith soldiers as well as the emitter you need to nab. Fight your way to the top of the circular room to get your second Emitter.

Note: You will be affected by psi-radiation while inside. This means you'll constantly be under the effect of slowing effects, psi-damage, and, for long exposures, illusions of Monolith soldiers that constantly respawn. Unless you turned off the generator earlier on with Solder's help, this fight will be difficult.

Leave the Sphere

Emitter Room Exit

From the room where you got the Emitter, drop down to the first floor and exit through the door that will lead you back outside. Make your way out of the Sphere to end the quest and begin the next mission, the An Invisible Threat.
