Hot on the Trail

Enter the Noontide Base
Proceed to the Noontide Base located on a peninsula, south of the Wild Island region. At the entrance, talk to Stone and show him your Ward Badge to gain entry.
Find Out Where Strider Is
Enter the underground complex on the other side of the base and speak to Steward at his shop along the main hallway. Give him 3 Anti-Radiation Drugs and then ask him where Strider is. He will then tell you to speak to Dubny, Strider's right-hand man.
Talk to Dubny
Go to the upper levels of the complex and speak to Dubny to ask him about the whereabouts of Strider.
Locate Strider
Head upstairs to the warehouse level to meet Strider. You'll know that you're headed the right way as you'll run into a guard named Bass by the entrance. Once inside, run past a few highly irradiated areas and talk to Strider who is found at the middle of the warehouse.
Disable the Scanner
Assist Strider in disabling the Scanner nearby. Simply just walk up to the scanner and interact (F) with it to turn it off.
Talk to Lodochka
Exit the warehouse through the door on the southeast corner. Follow the waypoint until you reach a bunker and then talk to Professor Lodochka inside.
Reach the WPS and Talk to Survivors
Go to the Waste Processing Plant (WPS) located northeast of the Noontide Base. Talk to Jumper who is in the barracks along the driveway by the entrance. This will also initiate the Shift Change side mission.
Take the Key from North
Go to the Roof of the WPS
Cross the bridge towards the WPS and once there, head up towards the roof. You will have to fight your way up as enemy soldiers will be present in the area.
Drop Down the Pipelines
From the roof, drop down to the pipelines and then loot North's dead body to get the Key Ring.
Go Down to the Underground Level
Enter the Basement of the Main Building
Enter the basement of the main building and use the staircase to go down the basement. There will be multiple ladders here that you can use to reach the lower levels.
Go Past the Hazardous Areas
Proceed ahead and once you reach the sewage system, sprint past the toxic areas and climb up the ladder at the end.
Find the Inductor
Reach the Boiler Room
Fight your way through the narrow hallways infested with zombie soldiers until you reach a boiler room. You will also have to eventually fight a Controller before entering the room.
Grab the Inductor
At the boiler room, there is a crack on the wall that you can crawl through that leads to a bathroom. Go through it and open the first door at the hallway, then grab the Inductor on one of the shelves.
Deal With Hog
From the hallway, go up the staircase, this will lead you back to the surface. Hog and his goons will then interrogate you. It doesn't matter what dialogue you choose since they will attempt to kill you either way. Be prepared for a firefight after talking to him. You can use the crates nearby as cover.
Return to Strider
Return to Noontide Base and wait for Faust to finish his crazy talk. Afterward, talk to Strider and show him the Inductor. The mission will end here and you will receive the Lynx sniper rifle and Coupons as rewards.
You can then proceed to the next mission, Chasing Ghosts.

| After a close encounter with Dr. Dalin and Scar, I managed to find out that the unusual PDA recovered from Varan's prisoner is a device used years ago by a Monolith faction. The trail leads to Wild Island, the headquarters of Noontide - a group made up of former Monolithians. My attackers apparently have some ties to Noontide. I need to find a way there and have a serious talk with their leader. | - |
