Answers Come at a Price

The objectives of Answers Come at a Price may vary for each player and will depend on whether you exited via the Northern Checkpoint or the Pontoon Bridge Checkpoint during the Behind Seven Seals mission.
Northern Checkpoint (Spark Route)

Get to the Detention Center
Get to the Detention Center, which is a building marked on your PDA Map and Compass. Be sure to use your bolts liberally, as there are multiple anomalies on the way there.
Talk to Star
Proceed to the second floor of the Detention Center and make your way through the hallway until you find Star's office at the end of the hallway. Talk to him to progress the mission.
Go Down to the Laboratory
Head to the Laboratory marked on your PDA Map and your Compass northwest of the Detention Center, which is relatively near.
Once you get to the Laboratory, you will be attacked by multiple Ward Soldiers. You can clear out the rooms filled with hostiles faster by throwing grenades and finishing off the stragglers with your guns. Be careful as the area is dark, and it can be hard to spot hostiles.
Go to the Basement
After taking out the Ward Soldiers, head down to the building's basement until you reach the Metal Door. Input the Code 2605 on the keypad to open the door.
Find Information About Nestor
After opening the metal door, you will find more stairs leading to lower floors. Go down to the lowest floor of the Laboratory until you reach the room where you are ambushed by a Bloodsucker. There is also an Electrical Field Anomaly, so be careful.
In the same room where you kill the Bloodsucker, there is a table with a Tape Recorder. Pick it up and listen to the recording to obtain the information about Nestor.
Get to the Top Floor
After listening to the recording, an unknown voice will contact you. He will give you a code and tell you to go to the top floor. Keep heading up the stairs until you see a locked metal gate with a keypad. Enter the code 2603 to open it.
Go to the Sewers
Once you open the metal gate with the code, go through the hallway until you find a room with a lot of rusted pipes. Make your way through until you see a white door. Open it, and a cutscene with the stranger will play.
Afterward, go to the room with the industrial electric motor and multiple rusted pipes. There, you will find the entrance to the sewers.
Meet Up with Stranger
The mission will come to a close after the stranger finishes talking and tells you that he will be seeing you around. From here, you can take the tunnel to your right to escape the sewers. Upon exiting, you'll trigger the next main mission, The Price Goes Up.
Pontoon Bridge Checkpoint (Ward Route)

Go to the Military Base
Follow your waypoint to the military base. Go to the main entrance of the base where a Lieutenant will halt you. Tell him that Colonel Korshunov is expecting you. He will then tell you that the Colonel is not at the Military Base, but rather an Outpost northeast of the base, so that's where you'll be heading off to next.

From the Military Base, go to the Outpost located northeast. Go past another Lieutenant that will stop you for a bit for questioning and then talk to Colonel Korshunov, who can be seen standing on top of a shack.
Exhaust all dialogues until you get to the part where you can choose to join the assault or interrogate the captive bandit.

Join the Assault (Option 1)
| 1 | Go to the Depot where a group of soldiers are preparing for an ambush. Once there, talk to the Captain in charge to begin the assault. |

| 2 | Help the Wardens eliminate the bandits inside the Depot. Chornozem should die during the shootout. |
Interrogate the Captive Bandit (Option 2)
| 1 | Interrogate the captive bandit named Vetos to find a quicker way to get to the Depot.During the dialogue, strike a deal with him by selecting What are you getting at? option. He will ask you to retrieve Hosha's vodka in exchange for a shortcut located at a cave near the Depot. Do not choose the [Hit] option as he will lead you to a trap. |

| 2 | With the information on the cave shortcut, sneak into the Depot and then talk to Chornozem. Tell him to go to the balcony and a sniper will take him out. |
| 3 | After Chornozem dies, you'll have to eliminate all of the remaining bandits before proceeding to the next step. |
Search Chornozem's Body
Search Chornozem's Body and grab the PDA to end the mission. Similar to if you took the Spark Route, picking up the PDA Triggers the next main mission, The Price Goes Up.
