Get to the Cable Tunnel

After the Dark Times mission, leave the Doctor's house and proceed to the Cable Tunnel entrance to the north. Go inside and head down to the basement level.
Complete the Doctor's Request without Killing Monolithians
While navigating the basement tunnels, and later on the Monolith Infirmary to get the Monolithian Device, DO NOT kill any soldiers along the way to complete the doctor's request of not killing any Monolithians.
Stealth is highly advised while navigating the basement and infirmary. If ever you do get spotted, you can just run past the soldiers and quickly heal up as soon as you find cover.
If you did not kill any Monolithian soldiers, the Doctor will contact you via radio once the mission is done and after you've left his house. He will then reward you with 22,000 Coupons (if playing on Stalker Difficulty).
Locate the Monolith Infirmary
1 | Once in the basement, go past the soldier, then turn right. Proceed towards the other end of the tunnel. |
---|---|
2 | Make a left at the end of the tunnel and then enter the narrow corridor to your right. |
3 | From the narrow corridor, turn left to the hallway (there will be 2 soldiers in this area). Go straight and go inside the vents. This should lead you straight to the Monolith Infirmary. |
Retrieve the Monolithian Device
1 | As you exit the vents, turn right and go inside the room at the end of the hallway. |
---|---|
2 | This should lead you to a surgery room with soldiers inside. Run past them and go through the door on the other side of the room. |
3 | Immediately turn right and you should find a room ahead with the Monolithian Device stored inside. |
Take the Monolithian Device to the Doctor
You will have to run back to the ventilation shaft that you came from earlier. You're going to pass by the same route that you took to return back to the surface. Once you're back on top, return to the Doctor's house with the Monolithian Device at hand.
Find the Doctor
Enter the Doctor's house and go down to the basement - the entrance should be in the room filled with computers. Once there, a cutscene will trigger with you and the Doctor scuffling with a possessed Strider. Finish all dialogue options with the Doctor to end the quest and then proceed with the Legends of the Zone mission.
Note: If you did not kill any Monolithians previously, the Doctor will contact you after you leave his house and reward you with 22,000 Coupons (if playing on Stalker Difficulty).
Legends of the Zone Walkthrough
Get the Whip Before Leaving the House
Before leaving the Doctor's house, be sure to get the Whip Sniper Rifle. It can be found on a table after exiting the basement. Do note that the Whip will not be full durability when picked up, unlike most unique weapons.

I found the Doctor. He's preoccupied with saving Strider and won't talk about Strelok until the Noontider is stable. Strider can be revived using a special device used by Monolithians. I might be able to get one from the Monolith infirmary. | - |
